Trusting in God's strength through Jesus Christ

Embrace Christ's Power and Understanding

Trusting in God's strenght through Jesus Christ

Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight. (Proverbs 3:5)

Do you trust in your understanding? Are we supposed to trust in our resources?

The book of Proverbs 3:5 changes our perceptions and reminds us to entrust our hearts to the Lord; forsaking reliance on our own understanding. In a world dominated by powerful weapons, nuclear submarines advanced computer technologies where force meets force and superiority boasts, our sense of powerlessness intensifies. However, within these challenges, this verse offers an unchanging hope!

It opens our minds to the great battles that were fought in the Old Testament times trusting in the Lord. Recall David facing Goliath, a Shepherd against a giant! Trusting God's strength over David's own, was the greatest weapon of his battle to overcome. Because the battle belongs to the Lord.

As a result, the book of Psalms reinforces this: some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the Lord our God (20:7).

Likewise, in the New Testament, Jesus' message echoes powerfully. He comforted His disciples, urging them not to worry but to trust in God's promises (John 14:1-4). Even amidst chaos, we discover profound peace through Christ.

We all are in the battleground trusting that it belongs to our Lord. Some are battling in their finances, relations, strengthening the Church, and country affairs. Just Remember! Within your battlefields, the Word of God is your weapon. The book of Hebrews 4:12 reveals this truth it penetrates hearts and discerns our intentions. Just as David slayed Goliath, we can conquer our doubts, fears, and uncertainties through the Word of God.

In this world of mighty superpowers, we find strength in God's Word by submitting to His will—trusting in our Creator/Sustainer over our comprehension who straightens our paths.

Heavenly Father, amidst the world's clamor, we put our trust in You. As Your Word guides, equip us through Your given weapons. So that our lives be testimonies of unwavering trust in Your strength. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
