Ask, Seek, Knock: Receive

Seek, Ask, Find: Opened Doors

Ask, Seek, Knock: Receive

For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened. Matthew 7:8

In the vast arena of our worldly pursuits, we often find ourselves chasing after the sparkling yet temporary treasures. These treasures, though they might bring temporary pleasure, eventually fade away, leaving us yearning for something more enduring.

Turning our observation to the story of Samuel in the Old Testament, we witness a young heart attuned to the voice of God. His path was shaped by divine guidance, echoing the wisdom of Psalm 37:4, "Delight yourself in the Lord, and He will give you the desires of your heart."

Matthew 7:8 underscores this truth—a truth that stands as a beacon amidst the transient allure of the world. When we ask, seek, and knock with sincerity, the doors of revelation and understanding swing open, illuminating the path toward lasting fulfillment.

Just as Samuel's parents nurtured his spiritual journey, our own parents play an integral role. Their love, guidance, and prayers serve as pillars of strength, much like the foundation of faith Mary and Joseph provided for Jesus.

Let's recognize that the glitter of the world can blind us to the radiance of God's purpose. As we ask God for clarity, seek His wisdom, and knock on the door of His presence, our desires transform. In our pursuit of Him, we find treasures beyond what the world offers—treasures that last for eternity.

In prayer, let's seek the courage to ask, the patience to seek, and the faith to knock. May our desires align with God's plan, and may the doors of revelation lead us closer to His heart. In Jesus' name, amen.
